Pete Francomb – Founder/CEO

Peter has over 20 years experience in IT, business and media. While still at school he sold his talents as a computer game designer back when a BBC computer was something to get excited about. He spent several years in television with Channel 4 and MTV before turning to the internet. During his 5 years as an internet consultant (specialising in the not-for-profit sector) he has been designing the technology behind Engino and plans to be a major player in changing the way organisations do business in the 21st Century.

Tom Downs – Founder/Director of Communications

Tom has worked in IT and media for over 18 years. He understands technology and is passionate about branding and marketing. He has worked in a diverse range of capacities from project manger for AEA consulting, to IT training manager for Abbot Mead Vickers through to theatre producing, event management and arts strategy consulting. He has excellent understanding of the not-for-profit sector as chairman of the arts centre in Bath. Tom is a founding director and part architect of Engino.

Tony Coe – Technical Director

Tony Coe joins the Engino team as Technical Director, bringing with him 17 years of application development experience and more importantly a delightfully wry sense of humour. Light-hearted, yet totally focussed Tony is the programming Yoda of the Engino team.

John Ryan (JR) - Interface Designer (NEW)

Californian JR has been a web designer and developer for over 12 years. Specialising in usability, accessibility and layout design, JR has joined the Engino team to lead the development of our latest administrative interface. Maintaining Engino’s geek-free policy, JR has a diversity of life experience and interests from wine writing to photography. He is currently doing an MA in multimedia user interface design at Bath Spa University.

Gavin Weeks - Web Designer and Developer

Gavin has been working under Liam’s tutorage (info on Liam below) for 12 months and is fast becoming a Jedi in creating accessible websites. He couples this expertise with excellent design sensibility and is responsible for Engino’s growing range of templates and client specific website branding. Gavin has worked in various different areas of media prior to joining the Engino team, most notably the Middle East News & Information Bureau. He is a professional gamer in his own time which helps to influence his flair & creativity in web-based new media.

Liam McGee – Accessibility Consultant Genius MA MSci (Cantab), MSc DIC

Liam has been involved in the fields of web usability and accessibility since 1995. He is actively involved in accessibility research – typography, GIS systems, public engagement systems and web interfaces – and is a respected contributor to industry groups. Liam draws on his own mobility impairment and experience of many kinds of media from ten years in the publishing, broadcast TV, online services and public relations sectors. Liam coordinates all of our projects, and is responsible for research and development. Liam is a member of the British Computer Society (BCS) Disability Group, and is shortly to represent the Guild of Accessible Web Designers on the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Education and Outreach Group as an Invited Expert.

David Parnell – non executive Financial Director

David Parnell serves as Director or Chairman of a number of listed and privately held investment companies and hedge funds including Dawnay, Day Treveria plc, Dawnay, Day Carpathian PLC and VAM Funds PLC. A former director of Northern Trust International (Isle of Man), Neville James Fund Managers and Close Property Management, David eats stock quotes for breakfast. But this digital dexterity belies his talent as a salesman, marketeer and jolly friendly chap.

Steve Johnston - Search Engine Consultant

Type "google consultant" into leading search engines and whose name comes up first? That’s right, the person responsible for ensuring Engino clients themselves get to poll position.

Giles Turnbull - Consultant user-guide writer

Giles is a free-lance technical writer and journalist. He writes for the Guardian, O’reilley.net and MacUser. Giles is writes the Engino user tips, user manual and tutorials in his unique light and accessible way.
